Welcome to The Tale Banks Show
Today our special guest is Louis Riel the leader of the Metis eople of red river settlement.
Me: Hi Louis how are you today?
Louis: ALIVE! I'm FINALLY ALIVE AGAIN I CANT BELIEVE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wait how DID it happen?
Me: ..... I know famous scientists who owe me favours I guess. Anyways thats not the important part of this interview.
Louis: Then whavt IS?!?!
Me: Will you stop yelling in my ear? I'm right beside you !
Louis: sorry
Me: It's ok. Anyways, I brought you here to my studio to ask you a few questions about your.....FIRST life. First off, how did it feel to be a Metis person in your time.
Louis: It felt strange to be discriminated so harshly just because i was born Metis, I mean it's not like I chose to be, so it never really was my fault, but really the fault of the discriminators treating me this way, some people are just born that way and need serious help getting over it
Me: I agree with you 100%.
Louis : thank you I agree with myself too.
Me: O.K. Let's forget about that, I have another interestring question to ask you.....
Louis: That is....
Me: RELAX I'm getting to it.
Louis: OH...I'm sorry
Me: It's ok. Now, how did you end up becoming the leader of the Metis of the Canadian Prairies?
Louis: I was the chosen one.
Me:........WHAT?!?!?! I HOPE YOU MEAN THAT YOU WERE VOTED IN!!!
Louis: no no I was the chosen one, as in I was .....the chosen one, I am or at least was the spiritually chosen leader, why do you find this so strange?
Me: Because the only place where you would hear such a statement in my time (right now) would be STAR WARS or ......RUNESCAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Louis: OH RUNESCAPE! I played that game on your laptop when I entered your studio, It was quite enjoyable, but then I got addicted to another strange contraption called FACEBOOK! that was probably the greatest thing that ever happened in my second life so far! especially all the interesting games and groups named after me, but then the laptop broke and I couldnt play anymore.
Me: YOU DID WHAT!?!?! did you download a virus?!?!
Louis: OH!!!!!!!!!!! so that's what a virus does.
Me:IF YOU DONT BUY ME A NEW LAPTOP OR REPAIR THE DAMAGES THEN I WILL SEND YOU BACK TO YOUR FIRST LIFE AND MAKE YOU REPEAT THE EXECUTION AT LEAST 24 TIMES A DAY!!!!!
Louis:I'm sorry please forgive me not the execution anything else but the execution PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
Me: THEN REPLACE MY LAPTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Louis: WITH WHAT MONEY?!?!?!?!?!?!
Me: I DONT KNOW MAKE SOME, GO ON THE STREET AND DANCE DO SOMETHING I WANT MY LAPTOP BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Louis: FINE THEN JUST BECQUSE I DONT WANT TO GO THROUGH THE EXECUTION AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: thank you Louis, audience we will be back after this commercial break.
Me: alright everyone we're back live in my room in Ottawa Ontario Canada interviewing Louis Riel !!!!!!!! We don't have much time but we WILL finish this interview
Louis: I got your money back, now go and buy your laptop and be done with it
Me: Thank you but for the remaining segment of the show we will have to get serious oh and by the way NO MORE RUNESCAPE!!!!!!!
Louis: Fine then , first you bring me back to life then you wont let me "live"
Me: get over it that game will probably take over your second life and then I'm not bringing you back again.
Louis:..........you dont understand you're just like a parent!
Me: thanks I have parent too you know they dont let me do everything that I want to do either. But that doesnt matter, back to the interview. I hear you practiced to be a priest how did that end up?
Louis: I never graduated.
Me: I'm asking about your priesthood not your highschool succes rate or whatever you might want to call it .
Louis: I know surely that is what I am talking about too, I mean I guess that you could call it a school
Me: oh..... and how does or did that make you feel?
Louis: I dont know I guess there was some disappointment but the most disappointment i felt during that time came when I failed at becoming a lawyer.
Me: oh. Do you know why you even failed?
Louis: NO I never found out why exactly I failed and I have no idea not even a clue whatsoever.
Me: How does or did that make you feel? I mean never knowing why exactly you failed.
Louis: How do you think it would feel? I failed for a reason I do not know about, It really felt bad, but I'm happier now that I had the Louis Riel dome named after me and that I was the leader of the Metis people of red river settlement.
Me: Alright last question. Do you like soccer
Louis: of course my favourite sport in the world.
Me: Alright everyone we just ran out of time I hope all of you had a good time see
you .......NEVER this was my last interview I'm never doing this again as for you Louis, You need to go back I'm sorry but I cant have you running around in my time .
Louis: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Metis (Matey)
Hi Bloggers,
I made this entry to clear up what Metis means, so that you guys dont have to waste class time trying to do so much research about them.
A Metis is a person who has one Aboriginal parent ( Cree, Inuit, Ojibway, Algonquin, Saulteaux, Menominee, and other Indigenous Canadians) and one European parent. Back in Riel's time the Metis were very bad ly looked upon. Probably because of the fact that most of the time they were a result of the European (mainly Father) raping the Aboriginal wife, and then the father walking out of the family. Long story short the Metis were treated as outacasts.

Assignment #7
that= Answer
"direct quote"
4.) a.)Which category of Canadian Personalities interested you the most? Did you like the "we inspired", "we founded", "we fought", "we built" or "we governed" section the best? Why?
Another person that I think should be on this website is Mathieu Da Costa. I think he should be there because he was interpreter on Samuel De Champlain's ship, and he was crucial in trade with some of the Aboriginal people but wasn’t even mentioned once in his section. Da Costa was said to have known "Dutch, English French, Portuguese and Pidgin Basque, the dialect that many aboriginals used for trading purposes". In my opinion he should be in the section we built, just like Samuel De Champlain, I think he should also be mentioned in Samuel De Champlain's section as the interpreter on his ship. I think he should be in "we Built" because he helped Samuel De Champlain negotiate with the aboriginal people, I think this is important because some of the things he did to end up in the "we built" section would have probably been impossible without an interpreter like Mathieu Da Costa.
Some of the things that we didn’t have in common or were different from each other with included our birthdays mine is on May 2nd and his was on June 4th. Another thing was that he liked running handball and lacrosse as some of his favourite sports while the only sport that I like or am any good at is soccer. Our first and last names are also completely different, my first name is Tale and my last name is Muweke, while his first name is Thomas and his last name was Longboat. But the thing that I realized right away was that he only went to school for 5 years while I’ve been going to school for 7 and a little bit already.
8.)In 100 years from now what will I be known for in Canadian History?
Why would kids learning about CANADIAN history learn a bout my career? That is a good question with an easy answer. Although I was born in Germany and lived there for 9 years I lived in Canada for a while as well, and after my career was over the first thing I thought about was helping soccer in Canada. I spent my whole time in Canada complaining (in my mind) about the lack of soccer in this…nice country. So the first thing I did was go back to Canada to do coaching and scouting for the CSA (Canadian Soccer Association ). But afterwards I ended up going to Germany to coach the national team who needed a new coach. Canada gradually change its attitude towards soccer once it realized that it wasn’t all that bad at it but just never really gave it a chance (funny off topic story if there was a school in Germany that had school teams and didn’t have a soccer team, it would probably have to close down because of either the number of complaints or nobody showing up for the first 100 days of school)

Assignment #6 Black history month ( Mathieu Da Costa )
Hi bloggers,
This is my assignment #6 blog. The assignment was to write something about an important figure in Canada's history who has African descent. Thus the title BLACK HISTORY MONTH Assignment!
Mathieu Da Costa was very important in Canadian history. He was the first recorded black person in Canada. He was a very gifted interpreter in the crew of Pierre Dugua, the sieur de mots, and Samuel de champlain, he was said to have known Dutch, French, Portuguese, and pidgin basque, which was the dialect that many aboriginals used for trading purposes, therefore I think that he might have been very crucial in the trade with the aboriginals. For this reason Champlain gave Da Costa the job of interpreter, who's talents helped bridge the gap between the europeans and Mi'kmak people. It is thought that he came to Canada some time before 1603, to learn the M'ikmak dialect. Some people say that he travelled the St.Lawrence river and worked somewhere near Canada's Atlantic coast (which is located on the east side of Canada).
A question that is frequently asked is how did he learn how to communicate with the aboriginals, the answer to that question is that the aboriginal dialect might have been similar to an African dialect (probably the one from his home land in Africa).

Assignment #5
The assignment is to do research on how the native canadians and european settlers lived through the cold winters. Here is what I got :
The settlers from France had a good reason to stay in Canada and that's why I think they ended up staying in the end. The reason was that in New France (colony in Canada) farmers all had land to grow their crops on.
One thing that settlers did to survive the cold was make sure that they had warm animal pelts. Therefore they started the fur trade to be able to keep themselves warm using the furs of the animals (e.g beaver).
A lot of people that I know had pretty much one or two reasons for moving here, job opportunites and a better life.My family moved to Canada on April 1st. 2005. We already my aunt living here for a while (I'm not sure when she moved here) and she helped us settle a lot faster. At first the trip to Canada was just supposed to be a vacational trip, I was very excited for it because back then I heard so many great things about Canada for example the weather is beautiful ( not really ). The only thing that I was really afraid of was that there would be no soccer because in those days I used to think things like "all year long snow for Canada" or "the only sport they play there is hockey". After a while my arents told me that we were going to move to Canada permanantly, once again at first I was excited but then I realized that I wouldnt get to see my friends from Germany and my dream of becoming the best soccer player in the world was starting to slip away because of the shortage of soccer or interest in soccer in Canada. I started to worry about everything. After the first few days in Canada I was fed up! Sure it wasnt all year winter but the things that people were saying to me just made me so angry, but whenever I told my mom she said that we moved to a great country with a lot of job opportunities. I thought otherwise but im starting to get used to it and things change after a while. We haven't moved back yet because of the job opportunities.

Assignment #4
Hey Bloggers,
This is my assignment #4 blog.
1.) I liked one of hasan's ideas it said : "I think Canada will improve a lot in those upcoming 100 years, maybe they'll find a cure for cancer." I like this idea because of all the things that have already been done to find a cure for cancer. For example Terry Fox running across Canada to raise money for cancer research. Or how every year a lot of people gather together to do a Terry Fox run to raise money kind of like how he did. I find this idea very realistic and I agree with him on this subject because of the reasons I listed above.
2.) Another blog that acaught my attention was Timmy's. I liked his ideas and they also got me started on my blog all I did was add some of my personal experiences and thoughts to it. This is the part that I examined the most: "Gee, there're a lot of things to talk about a 100 years from now like space travel, politics, environment, and society but I hope that the future will be positive because when I come back in another life, I don't want to suffer for my actions."
3.)My next and last example of a blog that I liked about assignment #3 was Firas' Blog he said that he wasnt sure about 2109 because of all the doomsday precitions in 2012. I remembered hearing those predictions a while ago. I think that nobody knows when the world is going to end and I find it weird for people to think that they know when the world is going to end, and on top of that when I told her about the 2012 story she said that people were predicting the same thing about the year 2000, and yet here we are 9 years after that and the world hasnt ended because of the collision of another planet that the devil lives on (that's what I heard I think this is a very inaccurate story that depends on what people believe in) or an asteropid or comet hitting the earth and destroying it.

What will Canada be like in 100 years?
Hello everyone welcome to assignment #3
The question asked by Christopher Moore (click the link to the left of these brackets to see his blog) is: What will Canada be like in 100 years
I think that in 100 years Canada will have changed a lot. I have some views that may be somewhat believable on this topic and some paranoid or strange thoughts but these are the ones that came to my mind.
In 100 years I think Canada will be along side the rest of the world on the planet Mars. The idea of humans moving to Mars seemswird and impossible to me, but I was never really able to shake it off and forget about after watching some documentary t.v show kind of thing about it while I was still in Germany (I think I was like 5 or 6 when I saw it).
Another thing that might happen is that the type of government wehave in Canada might change . Some places used to have a monarchy ruling their country ( monarchy means that you have the birthright to be head of the country, no votes). Canada might end up being known as one of the countries that used to have a government based on democracy.
In my opinion the main main things that are probably going to change in the future though are opinions on things, ways of life, and technology (by technology I dont mean mean as far as flying cars). I think that opinions will change a lot because they can easily be changed with just a convincing argument. Technology always seems to be advancing. One day you here about a college student making a computer system for police cars (I'm not sure if it was a college student or someone else), the next day there are rechargeable batteries on sale. The point is that something new happens every day and that there is no way to predict exactly what is going to happen tomorrow, let alone 100 years
